I bought one of these for my in-laws as an anniversary present, and now the 3rd one has gone faulty.
All the ones I received looked to have been opened and had various bits of packaging missing, not a good sign I thought!
I suspect that at least one of the items I received was actually a return from someone else.
The 3rd one seemed to work when I tested but it has now failed after very little usage.
Basically I'd recommend you buy any other frame but this one!
Definitely not a product that meets the usual expectations I have from Amazon.

Bought this for my mother-in-law for her birthday as I already owned the 8" Picture Frame and she loved it. Wish I could now swap it for the 10.4"!!
Other reviews already give you the technical details but I have no issues with it at all. If you understand using files on a computer it doesn't take much to work out how to use it.
What I like is you can pop in your memory card and off you go.
Most people forget to mention that the screen is also 4:3 and not widescreen 16:9. So there is no need to mess about with resizing your images to fit to widescreen. A definite plus for this frame!
There is no random feature but if you load your photos to the memory card in seperate folders you can select one and tell it to repeat that folder. So no need to see all your photos in one go from the beginning each time.

As a regular and long standing Amazon customer, I can say without the slightest doubt that this is the worst product I have ever purchased. The picture quality is extremely poor, to an extent I hardly thought possible. I use a Canon A 610 Powershot camera which produces excellent shots both on screen and in print, but on this product they look abysmal. The comments from other customers regarding aspect ratio are perfectly valid. If the manufacturer cannot design a product to cope with this, then why bother at all? If you want to pay £129 for a clock/calendar, fine. I had hoped to take this on holiday to give me a chance to make some daily deletions from the framer as I went along. I'd be better making the deletions from the camera display screen! My friends and family find the images so blurred and indistinct that they cannot believe the printed versions are in fact the same shots. I believe in giving credit when it is due. Not so on this occasion.
I instead bought a Varnam 8" photo frame, which even being smaller than this one, has much higher resolution 800x600 and light as a feather, for the same price.

How Much Does A Laptop Cost?
Cracking way to display your pics, and an even better way for momma or poppa to display theirs from a digi camera they hardly know how to use.
NOWm please stop, enough of copying AMAZON's reveiws all you other fly by night so called companies (you know who you are)! There ARE so few revies on products these days that are not copied from AMAZON. DO YOUR OWN REVIEWS. In fact unfortunately the only customers that can be bothered are those who get a bad product or service. I actually purchased this item from another UK supplier and drove half way accross the country. This was ONLY because I was too disorganised to arrange AMAZON's one day delivery (MY LAzy fault) I thought that there is only one supplier that has ever given me all I need in the right amount of time, so I will give them my opinion on this product...
This frame is EXCELLENT for the price but the Plastic frame is so well erm... plastic. If you have the ability though any frame adaption is possible u just need to make the EFFORT. OK, the plastic frame is not great but the unit itself and the picture reproduction is goood good good. If you receive one with a bad picture then use the remote and select the default settings and all will be well. When I received the frame everyone glowed orange and titanium white untill I defaulted it LOL.
It looks like you can replace the paper border as you would with any other normal frame (needs a screwdriver). The manual is RUBBISH but just ask a 14 year old they will sort it for you. REMEMBER remote is for screen settings and the buttons on the unit are the monitor settings like...AUTO or COLOUR or BRIGHTNESS ...etc. THE remote settings can cause chaos. Some of the settings available can make your screen unreadable and resetting can be done by either translation of a flashing segmented screen or by the default micro button accessable near the AUTO or up/down buttons (beware never used this method). TOP unit rubbish user manual. Only a problem if you dont own a teenager in the family. GEEBEA

I have only had the frame for a few days but am delighted with it. The only reason I am not awarding it 5 stars overall is the poor manual - it would have been useful to include some guidance on the preparation of Photos and Videos, particularly the latter, for those less familiar with computers. Also, some information on the options for music would also have been appreciated.
That said, I think the performance, which is the main thing, warrants a 5 star rating.
The multicard reader enabled me to use some old, discarded camera cards. Even my old 64 MB card will hold several hundred photos.
I am particularly delighted with the Video capability using a newer, faster ( x50 )media card.
Several MPEG1 video files I have produced from WMV files, using the free converter TMPGEnc, all ran perfectly.
MPEG2 files also ran perfectly when encoded as 352x480 files but I got a few "stutters", both in the videos and audio, in videos encoded as 720x480 files. Download MPEG2 files with this resolution also showed this effect. MPEG4(XVID) files ( AVI files ) of resolution 640x480 and higher showed a similar effect, although one encoded as 320x240 was OK.
Maybe one needs an even faster media card for videos with the higher resolution ? This is an example where a better manual would have been very useful and saved me a lot of time.
However, since the MPEG1 and lower resolution MPEG2 videos play perfectly, I am very happy to standardise my videos on one of these resolutions, which are adequate for a small screen. Remember, the 10.4" is measured across the diagonal, as with TVs, so the actual screen size is 8" x 6".
So, with some computer/video know-how, you can get videos to play well. Now I know the system works well I somewhat regret not having bought the 15" version.
One cautionary note: if anyone buys the unit here and is considering also buying media cards from this supplier, check the delivery price carefully - the headline prices are very deceptive.
