I have owned many headphones over the years, most of which have been Sennheiser's and these do not fail to disappoint. For anyone on the fence about the cost, they are worth every penny. make sure you follow the two main rules with these headphones. 1. Get the right fitting buds installed. 2. Let them bed in, they do not sound bad out of the box but get better with use for sure. I am at around 30 hours listening now and they are getting better still. I read around 50 hours is ideal for these.
Note though, these are not noise cancelling and only offer middle performance isolation unless you get a good fit. I still have a set of Sennheiser PXC 450 - NoiseGard Active Noise Canceling Headphones for my travel use (bulky but great)

When I got this earphone, I am astonishing that it's a faked one. And they ask me to pay the shipping fee to return the item to them. How can it be? They sale faked product, and ask the buyer to pay for their fault. I will never recommand this company for any further buy.

The best pair of earphones I've ever owned (have gone through countless Shures, Klipsch and lower Sennheisers). The only recommendation I would make would be for prospective owners to buy a set of Comply foam tips. They really do make these IE8s sing!

this is something, my first premium headphones and they r just awesome. noise cancelling is awesome, no headaches yet, sound is so studio like.

These are the third set of Sennheiser earphones bought over the past few months. The first two were in the much cheaper CX range. I am happy to say that the IE8 are in a different league as they should be in view of the price differential! My first impression wasn't that good in that the sound seemed a bit woolly and indistinct. However, having used them for a few months now the sound quality has improved considerably. I listen to a range of music from metal to main stream rock and for the best sound I have the bass turned up to max on the headphones with the graphic equalizer on i-pod touch set to treble reducer. This gives a rich full sound without being too harsh when you increase the volume. The headphones are very comfortable when you have found the correct bud from the ones supplied. Overall i'm very impressed but not sure whether they are worth the price - are they really three times better than CX? Suppose I should have thought about that before I bought them..??
