I had used the itunes set and just couldn't get them to stay in my ears.

I do a lot of D.I.Y. and grass cutting and stuff and wanted a product which

These Philips fit the bill, I have been very happy with them and they are so

comfortable to wear as well.

The bass could be better as it does sound a bit shallow but overall they are good value

Having had many headphones and earphones of different types, I know how variable the quality can be - and it's not always correlated with price either. These give superb sound quality and a good volume level. Having previously had to use a mini-amp to boost my quiet MP3 player, with these phones I no longer need to. They stay secure for running - much better than anything I've ver used and I would recommend them whether you are a runner or otherwise. Not a bad word to say about them - highly recommended for quality and great value at this price.

i was hoping that they would stay put for the whole gym session but unfortunately they still need quite a bit of encouragement to stay in place (pushing them in when they move around). i think i have quite a small head/ears (and im a woman) so the average male head may fit these a bit better and thus less movement. still, much better than the standard 'sit in the ear' ones that just fell out every 30seconds and i think these are probably as good as im going to get. good sound quality (they drown out gym music) and comfy.

Great product for its price as long as you know what you are looking for. I decided to return mine when a few things I was expecting turned out to be missing (not explicitly clear from product description). I will possibly opt for another similar NIX model with the features, and only bit more expensive



Pros -

True 800x600 resolution. Much better than lower resolutions in some bigger brand models

8" size is way more viewable than 7" models coming at a similar price point

Good looking frame with reasonably sturdy build

Can show videos (mpeg4) and play mp3 in the background

Support stand behind folds away fully to give a flat form factor



Cons -

No internal memory. It can show pics out of SD card/USB stick that has to stay with the frame

Does not have the calendar/clock feature seen in other NIX models

Does not have internal battery

User manual has basic mistakes - however, NIX support did respond quickly to email queries with clarifications and apologies

Menu navigation can be improved - misses features like sorting the slideshow based on date photo was taken



For me the first 2 cons above can be rectified by opting for another similar NIX model -

Personally I am willing to pay the excess as having to buy an SD card for the frame nearly balances out. Using an SD card as frame memory means that copying photos from another SD card (of your camera) would be a bit complicated. Using a USB pen drive as frame memory means something sticks out of the frame. I think the clock/calendar feature is also worth it.



Sound product nevertheless - recommend this model too if you are fine with the above.

This frame is almost identical but without battery but £20 cheaper. You get what you pay for. Both come with hand held remote control. Very pleased with both Nix frames.

I bought this product for Christmas for my 80+ Mum who hasn't the best eye sight, the idea being I could put pictures on from our spread out family. It appealed as it said it would work automatically when the USB stick was inserted, all Mum had to do was switch it on. Well, it didn't and even more, the menu option didn't respond to pressing the buttons on the top of the unit, so I couldn't set it manually.

It was a shame as the picture quality was fairly good and I liked the way it scrolled and turned the pictures.

This product shows that you get what you pay for. I bought it as a present for my parents who are complete technophobes and I therefore wanted something straightforward. This machine is that, put in the USB stick, plug it in and the pictures are scrolling through. However the product claims to offer a number of other more sophisticated functions, which admittedly my parents would never use, that don't seem to function. I am not sure if this machine is faulty or that is what you get for a cheap product, either way it doesn't matter because it does the job that it is intended to do.

They are good value for money. We use them in small lights but also our cat flap. Unfortunately they "die" after a couple of months in the Staywell "key" and do so very suddenly and this can leave our cat knocking on his door to be let in! We thought the catflap was broken but it was the batteries. Don't buy them if you want them for a use like that. I'm off to hunt down a "brand".
