There are of course many reasons for me posting this.
The first is that these headphones are exceptional. Even though Sennheiser are being slated over the lack of bass on this model i find that the bass has been substitued with extrodinary sound quailty. I have a Logitech X-540 speaker system which appears to throw bassy notes around the room in comparison to these. Clearly, they're better than people first think.
At school i'm surrounded by virtually everbody prancing around in silly earphones that are far too common nowadays, so it's quite nice and yet strange to walk around with these ever so subtle headphones on.
Unfortunately since earphones ARE very common it's devalued them meaning that when a few friends asked how much they were, they stared in disbelief trying to understand why you would pay 8x more than standard i-pod earphones for these. Also you're 8x more likely to have these confiscated on sight too.
Nevertheless they're THE BEST pair of headphones you'll find for this price.(In my opinion)

Theses headphone were faulty there was a background hissing noise and the base was terrible
As I have a pair of px100 that sound fantastic I think these must be seconds being sold as category one
Have not been given any explanation my advice is do not buy from this seller

These headphones fit the bill for me in every respect, they are superb.
I could not detect any of the 'lack of bass' or 'too much treble' traits a few other reviewers have mentioned.
I believe this is most likely to be because they have got fakes (I subsequently bought a 2nd pair, which were clearly fakes so was able to compare); the sound was terrible and the manufacturing quality bad (eg brazing visible on hinges).
The earpieces are thicker (see below), meaning they don't fit into the special case that comes with genuine items - this is probably why fakes don't come with the case nor the packaging even cater for their inclusion !

The easiest way to tell a fake set is that the earpieces are about 15mm deep, with a 4mm gap between the earpad and the housing plastic; in reality they should be 9mm deep with that whole depth taken up by the earpad. Also the headband plastic should be matt, on fakes it is shiny. Fakes rarely come with the carry-case but the fake packaging does look convincing BUT it won't have the larger void in the grey plastic to be able to fit the carry-case, it will be the shape of the headphones ONLY ...

Features: They are light, compact, foldable (into their own dedicated case, supplied), have a padded headband/earpads (very comfy) and are supplied with a relatively short cable (which I prefer).
Quality: They sound great (on comparison, only a bit worse to my normal size 'premium-quality' Sennheiser headphones I use at home) and are enclosed (they are pretty good at stopping external noise getting in).
A notable feature is that they are 'louder' than my other headphones for any volume setting = now no need for the mini-amplifier I bought to use with my multimedia player as the audio output was inadequate...
In short, I cannot fault them.

Thanks to the review read about this product i was able to recognize immediately that the headphones I received were not the real one. I must admit that the seller (Dailysales) promptly responded to my email and i am able now to return the items immediately. I confronted the pictures of the packages and I could really see the differences. Furthermore, I saw the real package on Sunday in Selfridges, so I was able to tell myself that something was not quite right. I still want to buy a pair of PX200 in white, but I wonder if next pair would the right one or I would receive another fake. Any suggestion or buyer to recommend?

I bought these as a replacement for an old (~4 years) pair of iPod earphones, and I must say the difference is incredible. The sound is loud and clear, the bass was a little subdued at first but improved after a few days. In fact the sound just seems to get better and better the more I use them. Also find them very comfortable, no issues with wearing them for a few hours at a stretch.
I previously tested out both the PX200 and the PX100 phones together in a store, I thought the PX100 had a slightly better sound but I went for the 200s as I travel a lot and they block out a bit of the ambient noise. In fact even on a relatively noisy plane like a 737 you can still get a good listening experience.
