Very poor sound quality, no clarity at all, very noisy, just a rubbish pair of earphones, dont waste a penny on it. Reject even if offered free.

I am not a connoisseur or particularly fussy when it comes to listening to music. But I do want a pair of headphones that do not keep falling out of my lug-holes and ones that enable me to hear the spoken word even when walking by a busy road. I found these headphones so much better than the ones supplied with the Apple iphone it was like I had heard something for the first time having been previously struck deaf. What's more, once they were put in my ears they stayed in place without any problem. The cable length is more than adequate. So far I love them. I paid just over £10 and thought they were worth it.

The sound quality is very good and external sounds are blocked effectively. BUT, as reported in quite a few reviews (not the ones I read originally...), the earphones produce intrusive rumbling noises when the cables are moved or rub together. This made them almost unusable for me. Investigation on the web (search for "microphonics") led to the suggestion of putting the earphones in upside down and wrapping the cables round the top of one's ears (picture towards the bottom of the page at [], for different earphones, shows how this works). This is amazingly effective - I can now enjoy music while walking - but fiddly, and the cables don't always stay where they are supposed to. Running the cables around the back of the neck seems to help. Bottom line - recommended if you don't mind fiddling with them and possibly looking a bit odd.

These are fine noise-cancelling headphones while they work, but this is the second pair I've had where within a few months, the volume in one ear has faded to nothing. You need three for a trend, I suppose, but I don't plan to test a third pair.

I've had two pairs of these earphones from Amazon. Both lost sound in one earpiece within about a weeks' use - a different side was affected each time. The sound quality was good enough but to have had two on the trot break so quickly is entirely unacceptable. And lest anyone think I'm being hard on the earphones, I've been using an older, allegedly inferior pair for several weeks since these faults with no problems whatsoever.
