 "S. Evans" 2010-06-02
By Ms. S. Y. Evans (cheltenham, england)
The item arrived within three days as promised. Very little paperwork on how to set up, but got the pictures loaded onto Cruzer memory stick, plugged it in and away it went. Unfortunately, when re-inserting memory stick, having added more pictures, I accidentally pressed the button to transfer one current picture onto the photoframe memory. Although I had 40 pictures on the memory stick it would not move from this one picture copied to the basic memory. The paperwork that came with the picture frame disassociated itself from any faults on the goods and the manufacturer so I logged onto the Kodak faults line who wanted a minimum of £18 to deal with my problem over the net!! - After much trawling around, we finally realised what had happened, then managed to cure the problem ourselves.

Now - three weeks later - I have started getting a slide show of about eight pictures on a loop advertising the product i already have, wanting me to buy another. The only way to get rid of it is to turn off the frame and leave for a while.

Wouldn't buy Kodak ever again.

A really nice product, straight out of the box, images transferred into the internal memory and it worked fine. Colour rendition is good as are the simple controls which allow the user to alter the transitions and timings.

We really liked this item and as we have it in our sitting room, placed a number of our favourite photographs onto it. These include photographs of days out, holidays and even some macro photography of bluebells taking immediately prior to setting up the frame. All of the images come out crisp and with good colour balance: which is a good thing as you can't alter the settings. The frame itself is black plastic, but does not look out of place and bearing in mind the price is of a good quality

All in all, this is a nice product and I anticipate that it will slowly absorb more of our photograph collection. I am impressed and would recommend it to you either for your own use or as an ideal present: it is certainly better than the more expensive model I purchased for my MIL at Christmas and I feel somewhat embarrassed when she looks at it.

 "Kodak Quality Photo Frame" 2010-05-03
By Retiree
I have had a previous electronic photo frame for years but its limit was only 400 photos! Recently it gave up the ghost and I looked around for a new one to replace it. So when I saw the Kodak Frame it had all the things I wanted in an electronic frame, easy to use, fantastic photo quality, size of frame image 8inch, 4000 image library and random photo access. Although it did not have the portable remote button I had with the previous frame, in truth, I never used it!!

I paid a lot more for the previous frame that I had bought in the USA (not Kodak), and friends said I could have paid less for a new one, but look at the pixels on the frame and you realise that you are getting quality, especially with the Kodak high resolution images. I use a 4gb sd card to load the frame and 4000 images is a huge library to add.

So for price, quality, build and image colouration, I have no hesitation recommending the Kodak 8in. Easyshare Frame!

"Excellent Frame for First Time Buyers" 2010-04-21
By Kez Homeros
Pros:

- 4:3 Aspect Ratio same as my digital camera's aspect ratio.

- 800x600 is perfect resolution for a 7 inch frame.

- Frame has wider viewing angle than cheaper frames.

- Supports wide range of memory cards and usb stick.

- 512MB Internal memory

- Low power consumption

Cons:

- Because of 4:3 aspect ratio, the frame looks smaller than 16:9 7 inch frames.

- No manual, No CD, No technical details in the box.

- No USB Cable!

Tips:

- Resize your multi-megapixel images to 800x600, so you'll save memory and loading time.

- Format your memories, usb sticks and usb drives to FAT32. NTFS is not supported.
