 "Very good" 2010-04-16

Caught this on offer as a gift to my parents, and it worked out very nicely. Has lots of settings and a little remote control, but was easy to get to grips with.

 "Good value for money" 2010-03-15
By C. Nicholls
I bought this photo frame for my parents, so ease of use was one of my priorities. Basic set-up to view photos is very simple, picture is clear and bright. Basic operations can be performed using the buttons on the back of the frame, but life is simpler using the remote control. The frame looks good and I am pleased with the quality.

I have not tried other features such as the calendar or videos as I only want to use it as a photo frame. The only niggles are the lack of a random photo display mode and the poor performance of the rechargeable battery, but I can live with both of these.

If budget is unlimited you could probably do better, but this is a good frame for the price.

 "a sound photo-frame" 2010-03-13
By M. Strickland
Does what it says on the box; nice design style, battery life seems respectable; easy to use; sure the start-up issue (defaulting to the selection screen and not photos) isn't ideal but by-and-large you get a decent screen for your money.

 "BRILLIANT FRAME" 2010-02-28
By D. Elliott (Lisburn Co Antrim)
This is an excellent piece of kit and for a great price. I originally got the Linx 8 inch screen for my In-Laws and when I saw the quality of the picture on it, I was so impressed that I ordered myself a 10 inch frame.

The points I most like about it is the fact that the resolution of 800 x 480 pixels is very high which makes watching anything on the 10inch frame a very pleasurable experience. (If your finances can stretch to purchasing this size of frame, go for it!).

I love being able to play movies, which I have on USB pen drives, in good quality on this frame. OK, as another reviewer stated, the sound can lose sync with the picture but I found by playing fast forward and then fast back, it 'caught up' with itself.

Being able to disconnect from the mains, taking the frame off the piano,(a really good height for it!)and placing it on the table to watch the photos, (thanks to the in-built battery),is a good bonus.

The 'Life' mode where the picture zooms in as each photo comes up is pretty cool and I would use this transition mostly.

The 10 inch frame also has the advantage of having 128mb of in-built memory so I can transfer photos from my phone.

Some people have critisized these frames for not having a random feature but this is not a problem for me as I like all my photographs to appear as I photographed them.

All in all this frame is quite brilliant.

"Nice size, shame about the software" 2010-02-21
By Ms. R. Bailey
I have to agree with the other reviews re the daft software. It is very difficult to get it to play random (even using randomising software to sort the order before loading them onto sd card). It kept trying to overide using the dates. The fact you HAVE to use the remote to get it to play pix is potentially a problem (if it gets lost, breaks, batt runs out etc). Perhaps the new software downlaod (promised) will fix this start up problem.

But its a lovely size and good qual pix (havent used movies or sound as not bought for that). Shame about not being able to leave it plugged in too, have to charge it on a timer then wait for the batt to run out then charge again on timer. Bit faffy.

No idea how reliable...we shall see

"Linx 10" Digital Photo Frame" 2010-02-12
By R. A. Morgan (UK)
A very good product that looks good in the home - I especially like the black surround.

Picture quality is excellent.

You definitely need at least a 10" size to show off the pictures.

Instructions are easy. I put all my photos on a separately-bought 2GB memory stick and keep this just for the picture frame. I just plug into the computer when I want to add photos to it.

Only one disappointment and that is there is no "random" choice to view all photos, unlike some other frames.

In other words it shows the photos in sequence, although you can decide where to start from.

Random, I find, makes it more interesting when viewing as you don't know what is coming next. Maybe this is something Linx can add to future models.

Anyway, overall a good product which I recommend to anyone.
