 "Great quality almost perfect." 2010-02-15
By Richael Wong
I'm very impressed with this set of earphones its price is great and the quality of the music is near perfect. Its made from a very good rubber material and is very durable. They are also very stylish and the colour is amazing.

However it might be just me but its not very good at isolating noise. For example when i listen to music on the bus i can hear more of the bus engines and outside noises then the music and this is very very frustrating. Even if i turn the volume up it still cannot fully block the noise out. Their also not very comfortable for me i sometimes find myself figgeting with them because they lie on the base of my ear and can fall out if i move my head a bit this is also a reason why it doesnt block noise out well it lies far from my ear.

Overall i would reccomend these but if your someone who wants noise isolation i would reccomend proper in ear ones.

"Get these earphones THIS VERY MINUTE!" 2010-08-03
By Music Nut (London United Kingdom)
I had some o' them Skullcandy earphones, they were shocking, kept slipping out me ears, didn't always pick up the bass then they broke completely. These are much better, like 'em a lot. It's a very clear sound, I'm hearing hi-hats and all kinds of subtleties I never noticed before in the music. The string is 1.2 metres long, which is a decent length, and they do not slip out me ears. They also block out some background noise. If there's some contemptible person (mind me language!) getting on your wick, just wack these in yer lug'oles, my loveys. I just hope they're not bungin' a load of earwax down there, don't want to go mutton jeff.

 "Cheaper at Tesco" 2010-07-05
By chancer
Just bought these Sennheiser CX200 at Tesco in Ireland today for E9.06. Good is sound, but as with other reviewers some wierd disturbance from wire thru ear buds ever before connection to mp3 player..? A quandry for the factory techies I guess.

"Excellent sound when correctly inserted" 2010-06-08
By buckbyter (London)
Excellent sound right through bass/mid/high ranges when inserted correctly (see note below). I had first generation CX300 before these and if anything I would say CX200 are slightly better sound. (also tried some Skullcandy Smokin Buds for a while but wasn't that impressed)

Added benefit of isolating most outside noise (eg on the train with those annoying prats shouting into their mobiles or tinny symbal noises from oblivious idiots with open backed iPod earbuds). These are noisless to others even at high volume so are considerate to your fellow passengers.

Because the driver is tiny it uses less power than conventional headphones = more battery life for your MP3 player.

Negative? I don't like the rubber-feel cable covering as much as the stiff plastic, tangle-free CX300 ones I had, hence overall 4/5.

(Note: 'ear canal' headphones are not the same as 'in ear' ones that just lurk inside the wider opening of your ear. These ones need to be inserted further into the ear to get the benefit of some excellent bass sounds from the tiny driver output being near your eardrum and movement of the 'sealed' air. I've seen people on the train with 'em sticking out at all sorts of weird angles and they must be thinking the sound isn't great)

With decent headphones like this, don't compromise too much on bitrate when you rip your CDs. Try comparing the same tracks at 128 kbps vs 192 kbps - I'm no audiophile but I think you need at least the latter to do justice to the music!

"mechanical noise spoils superb sound" 2010-05-30
By M. Bubb (London, England)
I tried these earphones - two different pairs before getting my money back. The noise they generate from the unusually springy cable brushing or knocking against clothes is ridiculous. I tried the different size buds too. Everytime I move my head it sounds like someone's kicking a big metal dustbin. A shame, because when I was completely still the sound insulation was unbeatable and the quality, superb. Smooth, well balanced. I would compare it to HiFi sound, but very basy (not excessively). Best sound I've ever heard from in-ears, even...but you have to remain completely still. INSULATE THE CABLE FROM THE PHONES, SENNHEISER!

 "Block out the world" 2010-05-19
By Peter A. Gale (Great Britain)
I love these buds, they block out almost all outside noise.

The bass and definition of sound is great. Get these ASAP.

I listen to plays from the BBC on my Ipod, it's just like being there.
